Replace them sooner if they can no longer protect the stove or are broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>When to Replace Your Fire Bricks (Signs of Failure)<\/u><\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend that you change a fire brick immediately if you notice:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Exposed Metal<\/strong>: If you notice a crack or gap in the brick large enough that you can see the metal casing through. (usually over 4mm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Crumbling or Chipping<\/strong>: If your fire brick is crumbling, peeling, or badly chipped.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Instability<\/strong>: If the brick is loose, collapsed, or no longer provides stable support for the internal baffle plate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Significant Thinning<\/strong>: If the bricks have significantly worn down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Broken Baffle Brick<\/strong>: You should always replace a broken baffle brick immediately, as it&#8217;s essential for your stove&#8217;s safety and heat efficiency<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>When You Can Wait (Normal Wear)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You do&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;usually need to replace fire bricks for:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hairline Cracks<\/strong>: Note that hairline cracks are common due to expansion.
