Thanks David, I believe the very early Baxi boxes did have strengthing ridges. The designs have changed very marginally over time. The suppliers we purchased the Baxi ashpan from do actually OWN all Baxi pattern rights, so the ashpan you received is a current Baxi pattern. Our suppliers do read our customers feedback as part of a 360 degree feedback process, so your feedback is very important to us and them, thank you very much.
