Good quality parts which fitted together well. Finish is good. The order arrived quickly and well packed. I would prefer not to have my first name etc to be in the public review. I would prefer only initials IJR.

Fits together well, sizing is good.

REPLACEMENT STOVE GLASS & ROPE

Replacement Stove Glass, Seals & Fire Ropes

Find high-quality, replacement stove glass and stove rope seals online at Fireparts.com. We stock a comprehensive selection of heat-resistant ceramic glass, thermal gaskets, and door ropes designed to fit all major woodburning and multi-fuel log burners.

Enjoy fast, reliable delivery across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, and the Channel Islands.

Why Replace Your Stove Door Seals Regularly?

Maintaining an airtight environment inside your firebox is essential for thermal efficiency and safety.

  • Optimal Lifespan: Change your woodburner door rope seals every 1 to 2 years.
  • Prevent Air Leaks: Over time, heavy use flattens and frays synthetic gaskets. Failing seals allow uncontrolled air into the fire chamber, causing dangerous over-firing and cracked glass
  • Protect New Glass: Always replace the inner ceramic glass rope when fitting a new viewing panel to cushion the glass against the metal door chassis.

Step-by-Step Installation Best Practices

1. Prep the Channel

Remove the old fire rope completely. Use a screwdriver, wire brush, or rotary tool to scrape away residual debris and hardened glue from the door groove before applying a fresh layer of adhesive

2. Apply Heat-Resistant Glue

Use dedicated high-temperature heat-resistant stove glue to secure the replacement rope firmly inside the channel. Start and finish your rope loop at the bottom center of the door to prevent gaps at critical seam lines.

3. Avoid Overtightening Clips

When refitting your log burner glass, tighten the retaining clips to firm finger-tight only. Avoid using heavy tools to crank down the brackets; the glass needs space to expand and contract naturally as the cast-iron door heats up
