Delivery was swift and the parts were as ordered. However the riddling/ operating tool is rubbish compared to the one it's replacing.
This steel replacement seems like a good idea as it's less brittle (and presumably much cheaper to fabricate) than the cast iron original which snapped when a log dropped on it! But it's so much thinner at the non-spanner end that it's useless for picking up the ashpan - so much so that to describe it as a "lifting tool" is misleading. I've tried calling a couple of times to explain but the office is closed. I would however welcome a response.

I contacted you about two elements of my order but have not received a reply.
Both need to be returned, and for one I would like to order a replacement if you have stock.

Although my Baxi is a Burn-all internal ash pan, for which this should be the right length, it does not fit my fire. Looking at other sites online there are three lengths of rod . Lift out Ashpan Rod 355mm, Outside Ashpan Rod 270mm, Rotary Ashpan Rod 235mm - so this 355 should be the right size but I need the 270mm one. I contacted the company to explain this, and have yet to have a reply

The ASHPAN collects and holds the ashes from the fire. As the fuel burns, embers, ash, and debris fall between the gaps in the grate or grate bars. This is then caught by the ashpan that sits underneath the grate. It is important to wait for the fire to go out and to cool before emptying the ashpan or ashbox in order to avoid injury. The 'Ashpan' can also be called 'Ash Can' or sometimes 'Ash Box' The ash pan may have a handle attached to it, or it may have a separate handle or operating tool.
PLEASE NOTE: Any reference to size (ie. 16 /18 inch) in the TITLE of an ASH PAN refers to the size of your FIRE OPENING and NOT the size of the Ashpan. ACTUAL ASHPAN SIZES will be stated on the DESCRIPTION LISTING PAGE.
