Delivery was swift and the parts were as ordered. However the riddling/ operating tool is rubbish compared to the one it's replacing.

This steel replacement seems like a good idea as it's less brittle (and presumably much cheaper to fabricate) than the cast iron original which snapped when a log dropped on it! But it's so much thinner at the non-spanner end that it's useless for picking up the ashpan - so much so that to describe it as a "lifting tool" is misleading. I've tried calling a couple of times to explain but the office is closed. I would however welcome a response.

I really appreciated the call from Phil to let me know that there was going to be a delay in delivery (understandable in the current climate)....it saved me grumbling about the order taking ages but not knowing why!!!As it happens, it arrived earlier than I expected so that was a bonus!
