Fire Brick Function:

The Fire Bricks in the Little Wenlock (Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3) Non Boiler model protect the Cast Iron back panel from the Fire / Heat. If a Fire Brick is cracked, it is recommended that the Brick be changed, as the Firebrick will soon deteriorate, allowing heat exposure to the rear metal casting.
