The 'Bottom Back Strip' sits on top of the Grate / Firebars. It provides a 45 degree chamfer between the grate and the vertical back of the fire / boiler. Its purpose is to stop fuel from lodging behind the Grate and direct the heat onto the Boiler. It is Triangular (wedge shape).
