Grate Function:

The 'Grate' supports the Fuel (from falling into the Ashpan) when it is burning. Some appliances have a single ONE piece grate and others can have TWO pieces. Old and Deformed Grates can cause the 'De-ashing' Mechanisim to reduce / stop working.

The 'Grate' can also be called a 'Bottom Grate'
