ASHPANS

Ashpans for Stoves and Fires.

We have a large range of DISCOUNTED ASH PANS, ASH TRAYS and ASH BOXES for solid fuel stoves, fires & cookers. 

The ASHPAN collects and holds the ashes from the fire.  As the fuel burns, embers, ash, and debris fall between the gaps in the grate or grate bars. This is then caught by the ashpan that sits underneath the grate. It is important to wait for the fire to go out and to cool before emptying the ashpan or ashbox in order to avoid injury. The 'Ashpan' can also be called 'Ash Can' or sometimes 'Ash Box' The stove ash pans and open fire ash pans may have a handle attached to it, or it may have a separate handle or operating tool. 

PLEASE NOTE: Any reference to size (ie. 16 /18 inch) in the TITLE of an ASH PAN refers to the size of your FIRE OPENING and NOT the size of the Ashpan.  ACTUAL ASHPAN SIZES will be stated on the DESCRIPTION LISTING PAGE.
