Fire Brick Function:

The Little Wenlock (Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 NON Boiler model) FIREBRICKS protect the firebox cast iron panels from direct heat exposure. If a Fire Brick is cracked, it is recommended that the Brick be changed, as the Firebrick will soon deteriorate, allowing heat exposure to the rear metal casting.
