This is a complete DOOR & GLASS set which includes:  7 x Strips of Glass (274mm x 40mm x 3mm), 2 x Corner Glasses (Left and Right) the 1 x CAST IRON METAL INNER DOOR,  4 x Glazing Bars (Top, Bottom, Left & Right) and Seals.

The Glasses are assembled and ready sealed in the Inner Door Front so the unit is complete and ready to install as one.  You will need to use your existing latch and fasten it to this Inner Door.

The OUTER door facia is NOT provided.  Your existing OUTER door will fasten to this INNER door.

PLEASE NOTE: The couriers DO NOT accept responsibility for Glass sent through the post. Fireparts.com usual terms of business do cover glass breakage, due to these items being rare, we regret we cannot cover postage breakage and the responsibility is that of the buyer.  However, we can assure you that the items will be extremely well packed and we very seldomly have broken glasses arrive in the post to our customers.  We would highly recommend however that you collect the item personally from our stores rather than have it posted.

Door Glasses Function:

The Fire 'Glass' (whether Strips or Panels) acts as a barrier between the fire and the room yet allows the flames to be viewed with the door closed. The Glass seals the appliance and slows the oxygen entering the appliance, hence preventing the fire from buring too rapidly.

Jargon Buster:

The 'Glasses' can also be called ' Fire Glasses' or 'Heat Resistant Glasses' or 'Door Glasses'.

When replacing your glasses, there 'may' be several items you require. We sell 'Glass Cleaner' which can be used to keep the new glass clean. Glass cleaner can either be in the form of a 'spray' or a 'brush on gel'. We also stock 'non chemical' cleaners such as special 'Glass Cleaning Pads'. Glasses are held in by 'Glass Retaining Bars' which we also stock.

Don't worry if you order the incorrect part, notify us within 7 days and return within 14 days.  If we have advised you that your part is a SPECIAL ORDER then there may be a restocking | handling fee.
